Eric Plandé (tenor and soprano saxophones) quotes Oscar Wilde: "We are all in a gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars". His band consists of truly great musicians. Hasse Poulsen is on mandolin and acoustic guitar, and Claude Tchamitchian is on base. Eric possesses a lush and juicy sound, his music breathes great acoustic purity. It is spontaneous, unpredictable, surprising. 11 contributions from all three musicians cover the ground from composition to total improvisations. Eric's influences are John Coltrane, Morton Feldman, Robert Fripp. You could call it a modern jazz with contemporary reflections. Eric's music invites us to close our eyes to see a little better.
