Golden Years of the Soviet New Jazz is a very special edition, the last
chapter in the incredible saga of new jazz under the communist regime. It is
a series of four volumes, each volume consisting of four CDs, each CD
containing from 68 to 78 minutes of music. All the pieces in Volume II are
previously unreleased material except for the last by V. Ganelin, which is
"Inverso". It had been released on LP with the same title over 15 years ago.
While Volume I
continues to receive outstanding reviews there is very little
doubt that the whole series will be a tremendous success, for the music gets
stronger and stronger and we have a lot of surprises up our sleeve. Released
as a limited edition of 750 pcs, 500 of which are being for sale.
